Tempe, Ariz.-based CMP equipment and services provider Total Fab Solutions Inc. has secured an additional line of credit to fund expansion of its CMP foundry capacity. Irwin Union Bank F.S.B. is providing the funding to support production outsourcing and process development of the most advanced semiconductor processes.
"This expansion is in response to substantial market demand for advanced CMP, cleaning, metrology, and defectivity equipment equal to those at leading semiconductor manufacturers," said to Rob Rhoades, CTO, in a statement. "
These new capabilities allow our customers to outsource their most advanced production CMP processes or to fully characterize new processes and materials before going into a production," he added. "In addition, our unique business model allows TFS to provide these capabilities much faster and at a fraction of the costs compared to a customer adding these capabilities internally."
